The SDLT5 certificate is a confirmation issued by HMRC that the Stamp Duty return has been received and the tax has been paid. To make a claim we will need the UTRN (Unique transaction Reference Number) and the Lead Purchasers Name. These will be shown on your SDLT5 as in the example to the right.If you don't have an SDLT5 you can ask your solicitor to provide you with a copy or just simply give you the UTRN and Lead Purchaser Name.
